Visionist

I started playing bass and taking lessons when I was about five. During this time my dad was building custom kitchen cabinets. He convinced me anything was possible so that's when I made a commitment to myself that one day I would build a guitar.  Time went on and I got in the school band and played in there. I joined the jazz band. Then my buddies and I started a band and did that for about six years playing at every talent show and show we could do. In high school I took  serious bass lessons for about two years with a wonderful teacher Louie Bertino who brought me to new levels going into theory and into the science of the sound of a bass. I then took some drum lessons to improve  my rhythm. I was also really involved with sports all through school my junior year our football team won state. Going into my senior year I was the captain of the team by the end of the season I damaged my back. Which was a blessing in disguise it was time to go into wrestling season I was the captain of the team and my goal since sixth grade was to win state that year. This is when I started my new life long goal to build a guitar company that would one day lead the guitar industry. With a couple of good books and my dads great wood working shop I had my first guitar done by the end of that wrestling season. That winter I went to Arizona for the first time with my aunt and uncle which have been a huge support for me to always take my work to the next level. On that trip I told myself by the time I' am 21 I will be living in Arizona building guitars. The following summer I bought a house fixed it up for a year struggled through every payment and managed to keep my guitar spirit alive the whole time.  Thanks to the morale support of my grandma, mom and the rest of my family and friends to keep going on. About a week before my twenty first birthday my house closed and I packed my stuff  moved to Arizona. Since then I got into doing the leatherwork while I was gathered and evolving all my new guitar building tools and skills. Now I have my shop up and going again building beautiful, artful guitars. I have moved back to Washington where I'm currently calling home. This winter I got to go to the N.A.M.M.  show for the first time in Anaheim, California which has been a dream come true. I got to walk around and meet a lot of the companies people and vendors I have been looking forward to meeting for a long time now. Thank you to all the people that were so nice to share there time with me. I learned  and evolved so much from this trip. I went with the local music store from my hometown of Bellingham Washington Mojo Music. We brainstormed a lot together on the off time which little there was. Which lead me into making a rather big display case in there store. Now I'm making a lot more guitars and looking to turn the corner again on my next move. I'm also working on putting together the Cronk Foundation which I'm planning on going around to schools and awarding music programs a customized  guitar of their schools theme. In the process I plan to spark a seed in the minds of the next generation of what its like to actually follow your dream and how rewarding it can be along with the challenge.
